University of Washington Tacoma Pathways to Promise

  • Our Partnership Program

    Kent-Meridian students at University of Washington Tacoma The Kent School District (六合之家APP) and the University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) have partnered to provide programs tailored for each school.

    The program may include workshops or sessions on:

    • How to start a career or college search
    • Admissions requirements
    • How to complete a college application
    • How to complete financial aid forms

    Assured Admission

    A participating student is offered assured admission to UWT if:

    • They have a 2.7 GPA or higher at the time of applying to UWT
    • They earn a 540 on the reading & writing portion of the SAT, and 510 on the math portion (or 21 on the ACT)
    • Meet all (CADRs)
    • Submit a UWT application

    Preview Day

    Kent-Meridian participates in the UWT Preview Day every year by taking a group of students to the UWT campus where they have an opportunity to tour the campus, participate in workshops to learn more about UWT programs/degrees, and have lunch around campus.
